Madonna on a child adoption spree

What Madonna is doing verges on a puppy parade. People like her are looking for the most beautiful child. They wouldn't choose a child with a disability or special needs.

Madonna was recently accused of conducting a "puppy parade" by children's charity Save The Children.

she looks very preety here:

She is shown drawings of the new school she is reportedly helping to build during a visit to Chinkhota, Malawi

The girl would become the second child Madonna has adopted from the impoverished African country.

Microsoft and Yahoo

Microsoft Corp. Chief Executive Steve Ballmer is still signaling an interest in a deal to buy part of Yahoo Inc.
Ballmer said at a technology and media summit that a deal would help improve Microsoft's Web search business by expanding the base of users. More people using the search engine means more advertisers therefore a larger pool of advertisers will allow for more tailored ads next to search queries.

He then added that he had only one conversation with Carol Bartz since she became Yahoo's chief executive in January. Ballmer said he congratulated her and said he'd like to chat at some point about a possible deal.
Bartz's predecessor as Yahoo CEO, Jerry Yang, rebuffed a $47.5 billion takeover offer from Microsoft last year.
Yahoo shares rose 38 cents, 2.8 percent, to $13.80 in morning trading. Microsoft shares were up one cent at $16.97

Drew and $10 Bowl

Drew Barrymore was Friday's big guest on Jimmy Fallon's new show, and she participated in his bit "Lick it for Ten," where you have to lick a surprise item and are given $10.Drew is a best friend and producing partner of Nancy Juvonen, Fallon's wife. The item brought out for Drew to lick was a $139 pink bowling ball. That is quite funny though...
As she went to lick it, hoping to earn her cab fare, her new tongue ring was also visible.you know one thing she still looks so HOT..

Later in Friday night's episode Mario Batali cooked Molecche con Rapini for Jimmy, Drew and "Gossip Girl" guy Chace Crawford.Earlier in his first week Fallon had a dance off with Drew's fellow "Charlie's Angel" Cameron Diaz, played beer pong with Serena Williams and sat down with Tina Fey.

controls production of tooth enamel

It may not be long when our grandparents can retain their big 'closeup' smiles even at advanced stages of their life as scientists have identified a gene that controls production of tooth enamel, promising replacement of teeth which can be grown on demand. The identification of the gene opens new vistas in the dental sciences as it could make possible repair of damaged enamel, a new concept in cavity prevention, restoration and even the production of replacement teeth.

The gene known as Ctip2 was known for several functions including immunity and development of skin and nervous system in the body. The researchers at Oregon State University in the US have found that this gene is also responsible for the development of tooth as well.
The findings were published in the latest edition of the journal 'Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences' in America. One of the researchers Chrissa Kioussi said that it's not unusual for a gene to have multiple functions, but before this we didn't know what regulated the production of tooth enamel.
Scientists used mice whose Ctip2 gene was "silenced" as such animals come as an important tool for scientists to study what systems are present and what are missing.

Alfie Patten: A 13 year old father

Its seem to be impossible but it's TRUE.When you read this title you might think something different but the thing I am going to tell you it is quite true as well as shocking.Alfie Patten, 13, and his girlfriend Chantelle Steadman, 15 have baby. His daughter Maise Roxanne was born four days ago and weighed 7lb 3oz. I cannot understand how it can even be possible and even you would get the same question in you mind. When I saw the picture I feel like the oldest brother holding his youngest sister .boys this age I don't think has even ejaculate. but Physiologically, sperm can be produced and active at the age of eight to ten, If a kid can whack off and ejaculate, the sperm get active. Women carry the same eggs their entire lives, and it's even possible to get pregnant before menstruation starts but it is really unhealthy.it is not good for health.
I do feel sorry for him he is still a child and has no idea what has just happened first time you have sex and there you go - PREGNANT. Alfie, who is just 4ft tall, hasn't yet hit puberty and was 12 when the baby was conceived, said: "When my mum found out, I thought I was going to get in trouble. We wanted to have the baby but were worried about how people would react. "I didn't know what it would be like to be a dad. I will be good though, and care for it," he told The Sun newspaper. I think SEX education is what is needed, as children are having sex younger, schools and parents need to educate kids about sex earlier.

DNA of common cold mapped for first time

Scientists have deciphered the genetic code of common cold for the first time, a breakthrough which they claim could herald effective new treatments for the ubiquitous virus. There is no known cure for the virus, responsible for making millions cough and sneeze every year and which can also trigger asthma attacks. Now, an international team has mapped the DNA or "instruction manual" for 99 strains of the cold. As far as the study, the scientists have uncovered how the virus has evolved constructing a "family tree", and identified what they believe are vulnerabilities which could be targeted by new medications, the 'Science' journal reported. In fact, the study has shown for the first time that different strains can "swap genes" creating new strains of the virus, suggesting there would never be an effective vaccine. "Having sequenced the complete genomes of these things we now know you can be infected by more than one virus at a time and that they can recombine (their genes)," said Ann Palmenberg of Wisconsin-Madison University, who led the study."That's why we'll never have a vaccine for the common cold. Nature is very efficient at putting different kinds of paint on the viruses," 'The Daily Telegraph' quoted Palmenberg as saying.

How to take care of your hair? few tips

As women, we take great pride in our looks. No one wants to be looked at like an old hag, right? One part of our looks that remains important on all of our look good lists, is our hair. Hair is called as the crowning glory in a human being and if you have healthy and shiny hair, then you might be considered as a blessed soul. How long it is, how thick it is, how shiny and stylish it is. So what happens to us when we start losing our hair? What does it do to our self-esteem to have hair that looks like a doll's head or worse yet, bald patches all over. Let's face it, just one bald spot is enough to throw us into a full on self esteem coma!
First of all You have to ask yourself "what kinds of shampoo am I using"? is your really healthy for your hair? Why should you ask yourself this question you may be wondering? Simply because this can mean the difference between succeeding in hair growth or failure. You might dont know but Over 90% of commercial shampoo products contain Sodium Laureth Sulphate. This is a degreasing chemical additive placed in shampoo to help lift all of the dirt and oil from your hair and scalp. It works great at doing this, but there's only one problem.
Sodium Laureth Sulphate shouldn't be used continually or else you'll eventually see thin hair. This is because of the fact that it's very harsh on the hair and will strip it out over time. There is however a way around all of this. You should start using natural hair shampoos such as those containing aloe vera, green tea, tea tree oil, and saw palmetto. All of these natural ingredients are proven hair-growing stimulants. Many are even finding some of the organic shampoos to be quite effective in cleansing the hair as well as helping it grow back.

The beautiful women who are programmed to be unfaithful

Today I read nice and quite interesting article and I guess why shouldn't I share this with you and you know what is the title of my article but it may not be always true, but a new study says that some beautiful women are more likely to have extra-marital affairs because of a sex hormone which is linked to attractiveness and flirtatiousness. Researchers have carried out the study and found that women who have high levels of oestrogen not only look and feel beautiful but are also more likely to be unfaithful to their partners, the 'Biology Letters' reported. Stop this man I know it is not in your hormones but rather in your mind. According to them, these women engage in "opportunis- tic serial monogamy" being open to flings and moving on to a new relationship if a higher-quality mate becomes available.
"Physically attractive women receive more male attention and when in relationships are more likely to be the targets of mate poaching. Attractive women also have specially high mating standards. "Because it's difficult to obtain a partner who is a good provider and also has good genes, women often have to trade off between having a long-term mate who provides continual material resources and more physically attractive, short-term sexual partners with good genetic resources. I think Women cheat because they don't feel happy and satisfied in their relationship, not because they are beautiful!
However, highly attractive women demand greater amounts of both types of resources in a partner, in addition to good parenting and partner skills. Thus, physically attractive women may not only have more alternatives but also high standards that are difficult to satisfy. Accordingly, they may have fewer reasons to be committed to any particular partner if higher quality potential mates are available," 'The Daily Telegraph' quoted lead author Dr Kristina Durante of Texas University as saying. In their study, the researchers took saliva samples from fifty-two female students aged 17 to 30 at two stages of their menstrual cycle to measure their hormone levels.
They were also questioned about their sexual histories and asked to rate their own looks before two male and seven female undergraduates blind to the study were invited to score their attractiveness from full-body photos. Durante said: "Women with higher oestradiol reported a greater likelihood of flirting, kissing and having a serious affair with someone other than their primary partner and were marginally more likely to date another man." But while high-oestradiol women had significantly more long-term relationships the hormone wasn't related to the likelihood of one-night stands. The results suggest although high-oestradiol women may not subjectively prefer long over short-term relationships they nonetheless adopt a strategy of serial monogamy.

Al-Qaeda remains 'number one threat' to US

I would prefer to say "Al-Qaeda remains to be a pain in the butt". That should make them angry as well as that make some sense. Our respected Barack Obama said that Al-Qaeda and Osama bin Laden remain the "number one threat" to US security, after a new voice recording emerged from the terror group's leader."Bin Laden and Al-Qaeda are our number one threat when it comes to American security," Obama told reporters, after the recording warned the president-elect of new fronts in bin Laden's self-styled holy war against Western interests. We're going to do everything in our power to make sure that they cannot create safe havens that can attack Americans. That's the bottom line. He then added I think that we have to so weaken his infrastructure that, whether he is technically alive or not, he is so pinned down that he cannot function. The 22-minute audio recording, whose authenticity was confirmed by the US-based Site Intelligence Group, was the first commentary from the Al-Qaeda leader in eight months.Obama has vowed to boost development in Afghanistan and shift the focus of the "war on terror" from Baghdad to Kabul as he winds down the war in Iraq. Things are going to get tougher in Afghanistan before they get better," he said, adding that "Pakistan's position on Afghanistan is going to affect our ability to succeed." actually that is good sign that Obama is concerned about US security but I think he should remember there are biggest threat in US along with terrorism.

Toyota to launch pure electric car in U.S. by 2012

Toyota Motor Corp said it would launch an all-electric car for city commuting by 2012 in the US as part of its plan to speed up the introduction of green cars as its global sales falter. The FT-EV concept made its debut at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, where the world's top automaker is also unveiling two new gasoline-electric hybrid cars.
The FT-EV concept shares a platform with the tiny iQ urban commuter car, which runs on a gasoline engine and emits just 99 grams of carbon dioxide per kilometer."Now, more than ever, while we are so focused on the pressing issues of the moment, we cannot lose sight of our future," Irv Miller, Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. group vice president, said in a statement.
Toyota said the concept car is targeted at the urban dweller driving up to 50 miles between home and work, for instance.
"Last summer's $4-a-gallon gasoline was no anomaly," Miller said. "It was a brief glimpse of our future."
Toyota, which had previously said it would aim to get an electric car out by the "early part of the next decade," would join rivals General Motors Corp and Nissan Motor Co in the race to grab the lead in the zero-emission car segment.
But Toyota said it still considered gasoline-electric hybrid vehicles its long-term core powertrain technology. With an aim of selling 1 million hybrids annually soon after 2010, Toyota will launch as many as 10 new hybrid models by then in various markets. The third-generation Prius and the Lexus HS250h, to debut in Detroit, are part of that effort, it said.
General Motors, which Toyota passed in recent years to become the top global automaker by sales, has said it will launch its Chevrolet Volt electric car in the United States in late 2010. GM says the Volt will have a 40-miles range for driving on one battery charge.
